California Vacation: Legoland

While I was enjoying my beautiful time in California.. We decided to go to Legoland with Brittany and her little girl it was a blast! And all of the statues were made completely out of Legos! Even a full size car!

So first night in California, I was picked by my two best friends, Krystal & Frank.. we went to Old Town San Diego, for dinner, drinks and fun at Fred's!

This has happened to me recently from someone, who I though was my best friend but now she has ignored me for a month and 1/2... Lets just say.. I know now... And it's a fact...

Per our Boss at work.. today we had to dress up in costumes for Halloween ! Me and my Boss Trina.. ( because we are practically two peas in a pod) we went the classic Super Mario Brothers! We did up our whole office in the gaming background!

Walk to End Alzheimers 2012-Memories Matter!

So this year was mine and my family's 3rd year to walk in the Walk to End Alzheimer's! It was a great time with Family, walking for such a great cause!

My Grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimers, around 8 years ago, and it is one of the worst diseases, I have come to know and see what it does to a person 1st hand. The toll this disease has taken on my grandmother is heart breaking.I have watched this disease progress from it's first stages, to the worst.It's so sad to see a woman, who was a role model, loving grandmother, that always had a smile on her face, that everyone loved and adored,to someone who hardly recongnizes her children and grandchildren. And since there is not cure for it yet, the least I can do is raise money and awareness. Because let me tell you Memories Matter.

I Don't like October.. But I have Awesome BFF's!

You know.. I am so incredibly blessed with the people I have in my life, both Family and Friends..And my two best friends totally made my day yesterday, and it showed me who really knows me.. (see pic below)

Not very many people, know.. I really Despise the month of October... Why Might you ask..

Well...

1. Not a really big fan of Halloween, never have been.. I don't like being scared, and I have to much anxiety, to be able to go and see any scary movies... haunted houses... I can't even go to Fright Fest at Six Flags... So all in all I'm a big scardy cat... and the possibility of having a anxiety attack somewhere pretty much keeps me at home watching Disney movies most of the month.. lol

2. Every October for the past 9 years.. (i will explain the 9 year thing in a sec) something bad has happened, or something goes wrong, that totally changes me... I wont name all of them.. but its the accident 9 yrs ago that started it all.

~ 9 years ago yesterday, Me and Best Friend of 23 years now, were in a awful car accident. My car was totaled.. it was one of those accidents where you look at the car and think... whoever was in that car.. didn't survive... The Car.. rolled.. flipped.. landed upside down, crushing the top of the car.. bumper was found down the road.. air bags never deployed..
The Great Lord almighty was with us that night with our Guardian Angels and we came out with minor injuries.. But an accident like that definitely messes with you physically and emotionally and you can never shake that bad feeling. I still get goose bumps every time I drive by the place where the accident happened. Every year since me and my best friend send each other text messages,  thanking the good lord for sending us Guardian Angels that night.

These are the two text messages I received yestereday, and again I have to say I have 2 of the Greatest Best Friends a Girl could ask for.

Secondly, today on the other side of the family (Bain side) we welcomed a new additon!! Riley Paige Bain, Born Oct 4, 2012 7lbs 5oz and 20 inches long. Born 11:03 am this morning!! Congrats to My Cousin Derek and his Wife Casey on their new baby girl!!

She has her mad face on... but is still so stinkin cute!!! I love you baby girl!! I cant wait to meet you!

So this week.. for once has actually been really boring.. but I loved it!! I had nothing to do.. I was not invited out anywhere... or to go and do Anything!! It was GLORIOUS!!!

1. Was NOT invited out to go and do something! That's a High Five for me because, it seems like I ALWAYS have something to do.. every night and every weekend lately. It was nice not to have any plans, and just veg out, with my Puppy.

2. I got to catch up on ALL of my DVR'd shows! Because last week/weekend with the wedding, I hardly watched anything.

3. Some of my favorite shows season premired this week and I was soo excited!!!

4. For the Past two nights I have fallen asleep at 8 O'CLOCK pm!! and did not get up until my Alarm went off at 6:50 the next morning!! That's close to 10 hours of sleep for two nights straight.. I'm starting to feel like my old self again.

5. After I looked at my money situation for this week.. and next... on top of House Sitting for my Aunt Sylvia (Boo's Basket) next weekend I will be able to buy my Plane Ticket for SAN DIEGO,CALIFORNIA!!!! Blazin...Ba-jezzz-us!!! I'm So excited and can't wait to visit my best friend and her family for Thanksgiving in November.

National Sisters Day!!

I love my sister! She is my other half... Best Friend... Partner in Crime.. And helps that she is just as crazy as I am, I could not be more blessed to have the best little sister in the world! She has been there thru thick an thin with me and supports and encourages me in everything I do, just as I try to be there for her! I love her to the moon and back!

Man Oh Man.... I'm exhausted! What a crazy weekend! There was alot of driving... partying, drinking, good food, and new friends, and spending time with old friends and the beautiful wedding of two of my best friends.. A quick recap of my amazing weekend with my best friends...

My Lovely weekend started a day early.. after I got off of work Thursday, I went with my best friend Joan and picked up our Best Friend from the Airport, she flew into Texas from California for the Wedding!

Friday,was Rehersal, Rehersal Lunch... and later that night Bachelorette Party.

SUNDAY!!! WEDDING DAY!!-Being the Maid of Honor, I have now realized that you have to be able to remain calm, and focused... so that what ever the bride is worried about... you handle.... Let's just say I felt like I was running around, like a chicken with his head cut off... plus... I was hyped up on a Iced Venti White Chocolate Moch Coffee from Starbucks..But it was fun none the less...

You know that expression.... "When it rains, it POURS!" it seems like that has been my week up until today, it seems to be one stressful thing after another! But to look on the positive side of things here are my 5 Favorite things from this week!!

1. (see pic above) Looks so much better on my phone but I have offically hit my 30lbs down mark with my slim 4 life program. I have lost 5 inches in my waist, 2 1/2 in my hips, 2 in my both of my thighs, 2 in my chest region, and 1 1/2 in, in both of my arms. Woo Hoo!!! Got alot more to go, but I'm ready!

2. So after being out of college w/ an Associate Degree for almost a year... thanks to my company I work for, they have sent me back to school, for a total of 9 months to get my CBA liscense!! (CBA-Credit Business Associate) This is a huge opportunity for me, that will open up many doors for me. And no money comes out of my pocket to be able to achieve this!

3. My awesome Boss, got me these awesome erasers for my class!! She said she went through a whole entire eraser, doing these classes last year, when she was working on her CBA Liscense!

4. If you were to know the girls on my dad's side of the family... we have this fascination, and love for CUPCAKES!! They are our weakness!! so as I was at Barnes and Nobels the other night, I was looking at the Journals, and came across this one... it made my day!!! 

5. Last and Certainly! not least....OH YEAH!!! It's Officially Football Season in TEXAS Y'all!!! What girl has two thumbs and is ready for some Football.... <---- this girl right here!! And if your from Texas, you know what I'm talking about... if your not... come to Texas and we will show you what all the hype is about! :-)

Sliming Down!! Slim 4 Life Rocks!!

So as a lot of y'all who visit my blog know, I have been in the Slim 4 Life program for a whole month now and I'm down 20 lbs!!!! Woo Hoo!!! It feels so good! I have more energy and want to get up and do something. The hardest part of this program is not getting to eat, what use to be considered my normal diet. I went to the Movies with my lil sister this weekend... And what do people get at the movies??? Popcorn and a Soda of course!! Which are two big No-no's on my list of what not to eat!! man that was hard not to reach over in my sisters lap and grab some popcorn !! But I did good and the Movie was great! Below is a pic of me happy an 20lbs down and a pi of me and my lil sister on movie night!

Weekend Update...

Well it was a another busy yet wonderful weekend.. Just for the record I would like to say I have probably the best boss anyone could ask for... Why you might ask... Well it's great to have a boss you connect with like your the same person.. Also I get to Ho have drinks with her now and then with friends from work and that is what we did Friday, drinks at Boomerjacks! Celebrating her getting her CBA license!

Saturday is was the Fort Worth Cats Game, with the family!! Fun for everyone!! And one small minor injury for me trying to catch a shirt for my cousin.. But it was worth it!

And on a better note in to my official 2nd week with the slim 4 life program I am down 12.6lbs!! Woo Hoo!! Slowly but surely getting there.

IT'S HIGH FIVE FRIDAY!!


















1. What a week, not only has it gone by fast, but it was also a 4 day work week 2/2 its weird having a random day off in the middle of the week, makes for a very interesting week none the less...

 

2. This week I started the Slim 4 Life Program.. a little on the expensive side as I remember, but all worth it! Since I have started, the program on Sunday... I have lost a total of 6.2 lbs this week!!! Woo Hoo.. point in the win column for me!!! 

3. I have also made plans, for this Saturday, to do a Ride-in with one of my Favorite people in the world!! My cousin and FTW Police Officer Craig. I'm so excited I can only do one every six months, so I'm really excited for this weekend!!

4. Happy 4th everyone!! I hope it was fantastic for you as it was for me!! I spent my wonderful day off sleeping in and then hanging out with my Best Friend and her Family!! I love them!!  Had fireworks shot off right behind her house, so it was a great and close up fireworks display!! 


5. I have decided also this week... because I miss her so much, during Thanksgiving Break I am going to California for a week!!! So see my Girl Krystal!! Im super excited and can't wait to buy my plane ticket!!! I had so much fun last year that, I wanna go again!!
